Dream of your brother’s kindnesses instead of dwelling in your dreams on his mistakes. Select his thoughtfulness to dream about instead of counting up the hurts he gave. Forgive him his illusions, and give thanks to him for all the helpfulness he gave. And do not brush aside his many gifts because he is not perfect in your dream.-ACIM

For every bit of kindness and love you show someone, both of you share in its sunshine. Whatever you send out returns to you a thousand fold.  Author Unknown

The everyday kindness of the back roads more than makes up for the acts of greed in the headlines. ~ Charles Kuralt

Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!   Anne Frank

HEART PRINTS

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Whatever our hands touch…

We leave fingerprints!

On walls, on furniture

On doorknobs, dishes, books.

There’s no escape.

As we touch, we leave our identity.

Oh God, wherever I go today

Help me leave heartprints!

Heartprints of compassion

Of understanding and love.

Heartprints of kindness

And genuine concern.

May my heart touch a lonely neighbor

Or a runaway daughter

Or an anxious mother

Or perhaps an aged grandfather.

Lord, send me out today

To leave heartprints.

And if someone should say,

“I felt your touch,”

May that one sense YOUR LOVE

Touching through ME.

May you receive all the heartprints you need

to feel happy and loved

and

May you find ways you can add to the heartprints

you leave behind in others.
